THE MOON

Four weeks,
and not one like the last.

It waxes, stands full, wanes and disappears, and nobody accuses it of letting itself go. Which moon phase it is in today is right there on your home screen. And most of the time it explains the evening you are having.

A DIFFERENT ONE EVERY DAY

You are not the same
person every day either.

At new moon the sky is empty and you do not want to call anyone. Two weeks later the moon stands full over the city and you are rearranging the kitchen at midnight. In between lie fourteen evenings in which that slowly turns.

You run the same arc. There are weeks when you begin and weeks when you let go, and you did not choose them. Once you know which one you are in, you stop taking yourself for the wrong one. For the evening you are at, a few paragraphs are waiting. No advice, more a description you nod at.

„Here there is nothing more to build, nothing more to prove, nothing more to save.“ — the last crescent, a few days before the new moon.

EIGHT PHASES

From new moon back
to new moon.

The eight moons were painted by hand for Moonjourn. Each has its own text and its own question for the evening.

Tap one and you read what this phase has to do with you.

WANING

Letting go
is a phase too.

In the waxing half of the month, starting comes easier. In the waning half, clearing out comes easier, in your head as much as in your flat. The new moon is the day when nothing is visible and something begins anyway.

If that interests you in more detail, the Academy in the app explains how the phases come about and why they have always made calendars.

The next moon is coming.

Moonjourn is coming. Join the list and you get an email as soon as you can walk along.

Coming soon to the App Store and Google Play.
